The Apex® Radio over IP (RoIP) interoperability system sets new standards of performance, flexibility and ease of operation in a portable mission critical dispatch communication system for first responders, emergency operation center, public safety and homeland security personnel. The rugged battery operated APEX-1000 supports dispatch center communications in the field, even when the normal communications infrastructure is inoperative.
The APEX-1000 system combines a Radio over IP (RoIP) dispatch console server, call manager and conference bridge in a lightweight, waterproof Pelican case. The dispatch operator may place and receive radio calls, control radio patching and configure talk nets from a PC based dispatch console, or from the APEX-1000 built-in control panel. The APEX-1000 embedded call manager allows the dispatch operator to interoperate with VoIP (Voice over IP) devices, SIP devices, SATCOM, GSM/CDMA, cellular, wireless intercom and wire line telephone systems from the APEX-1000 front panel, laptop or tablet PC.
APEX-1000 supports multiple simultaneous radio repeater, cross-patch and conference network connections. An embedded Call Manager provides unattended dial access to radio talk nets from any APEX-1000 networked device.
APEX-1000 integrates 6 radio ports, 1 FXO and 1 FXS “POTS” ports, operator panel, SIP VoIP gateway, softswitch, call manager and client server into a single rugged, light weight and battery powered system.
By virtue of its ease of use and intuitive operation, the APEX-1000 is an ideal solution for achieving mission critical communications during emergency and incident response situations.
